Making The Most Of Your Visit

While visiting campus, we want you to be able to experience as much of MIT as possible - after all, it is important for you to get a sense of whether MIT is a good fit for you.

To experience the academic side of MIT, you are welcome to attend an undergraduate class (when in session) or explore different departments. If you're interested in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), or "Course 6" as we call it, we recommend that you make a special visit to the department while you're at MIT. A few days prior to coming, email Anne M. Hunter at anneh@mit.edu or Vera Sayzew at vera@mit.edu in the Course 6 Undergraduate Office. When their workload permits, they or trained students will give tours of two EECS educational laboratories and tell you all about the department.

To get a sense of student life at MIT, you can meet with an athletic coach, attend a campus event, or stay overnight with a current student (please see our overnight visit page for details). You are also welcome to check out one of MIT's museums or cultural events through the Office of the Arts.

You are also welcome to come ask questions of our Admissions staff and meet our student interns anytime between 9AM-5PM, Monday through Friday. Just drop by the Admissions Reception Center, Building 10, Room 100 at 77 Massachusetts Avenue.

We will provide you with these resources when you arrive, but feel free to get a jumpstart by exploring your options now.
