"Bernanke to speak at Commencement!"
MIT just announced that Ben Bernanke '79 is going to be the graduation speaker for Commencement 2006. Bernanke has recently been nominated by President Bush to succeed Alan Greenspan as Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. This is just another example that indicates the strong history of the MIT Department of Economics and its graduates.
