Hi Melis!

I have a question about being premed at MIT. I know that med schools pay a lot of attention to GPA, and I wanted to know if they request actual grades for first semester freshman year or if they accept the pass/fail grading MIT uses?

The only school that I know of that asks for your 1st semester freshman GPA is Johns Hopkins, and I *think* even that's optional. But, I wouldn't slack too much because who knows what policy changes will happen in 4 years...

hi melis, i recently read something on the blog saying that an amazing 90% of the folks down at MIT don't know how to dance. If that's true, does that mean you guys a so bookwormish, if i may say.

You saw that on MY blog??? I didn't write it...but if I did, then I'd have to include myself in the 90%. But, there are, in fact, many people who know how to dance. We have a bunch of dance troops on campus and they're amazing. So....we're not that "bookwormish!"
