Admissions Bulletins

Early Action Applicants • If you don't see an application item processed right away, please do not worry. Near our deadlines, it takes at least two weeks for us to receive and process mail. In the meantime, keep checking your tracking page - the items should show up soon!
Overnight Program • In early December the Overnight Program will be closing for the season. Please check back in January for details on the Overnight Program's spring semester, which is limited to admitted students.
Online Application • The freshman online application for entry in Fall 2009 is now live! To apply online, log in to your MyMIT account. Haven't registered for a MyMIT account? Click here.
Email Tips • To avoid having your correspondence screened by our spam filters, please use plain text (not html) and don't type words in all caps when sending email to our office. Thanks!

Upcoming Deadlines

As soon as possible •
-Register for a MyMIT account.
-Submit Part 1 (Biographical Information) of the application.
-Contact your alumni interviewer.
Dec. 10, 2008 • Deadline to schedule your interview if you are applying Regular Action.
Jan. 1, 2009 • Postmark and online submission deadline to apply Regular Action.
Jan. 2009 • Last month for Regular Action applicants to take required standardized tests. If you take the January test, you must list MIT as a school to receive your scores.

"Tomorrow is MacVicar day!"

I got an email today about the MacVicar Day event this week that showcases student research in our labs here on campus and in the field worldwide.

It should be an exciting celebration of student achievements in research and public service, and it would be wonderful if you could come to see the posters, talk to the students involved, and learn more about our programs.

UROP & Beyond: MIT Students in the Lab and In the World
Friday, March 3, 3-4:30 pm
Stata Student Street

Poster presentations will include innovative public service projects that transform the MIT educational experience as they transform communities, including projects from the IDEAS Competition, the Public Service Fellowships program, and D-Lab.

I was just reading the Tech today, and I saw that one of my professors from last term, Dennis Freeman (6.021J) was actually named a MacVicar Fellow. Are you going to go to the event?
